Does dumping your entire repository into an AI actually backfire?

I used to think that giving an AI assistant access to every single file in my project folder was the ultimate cheat code. But lately I ve noticed the exact opposite happening.

When it sees old legacy code from three years ago alongside my clean new components, it gets confused and starts copying the bad habits of the codebase. Sometimes a smaller tightly controlled prompt works way better than letting it scan everything.

Turns out, a flashy catchy headline brings in a ton of curious people who bounce after three days while a boring, clear statement attracts the actual buyers.

Do fancy dashboards ever get used by real operators?

This is such a classic trap when building tools for non-technical family or clients.

We always want to add revenue charts filters and pretty metrics because we think it looks professional.

But when actual work starts at 5 a.m. nobody has time to click around a dashboard. Focusing on just one sorted list is usually all they need.

Did you end up deleting those extra dashboard views completely or do you still keep them hidden in the corner?
