I'm Kayan, a 13-year-old solo founder building TheStudyGuide — an AI-powered study tool that turns notes, PDFs, slides, or a photo of your whiteboard into flashcards, quizzes, and summaries in under a minute. I built it because I was tired of rewriting my own notes into flashcards every exam season. How do you actually handle your legal docs as a founder? (Termly, attorney, AI, or something else?)

I'm about to launch my product and I'm stuck on my legal pages privacy policy, ToS, cookie consent. I keep seeing wildly different advice on what "good enough" actually looks like, and i wanted to get real advice from real founders:

  • Tools like Termly/Cookiebot/Iubenda fast and cheap, but are they actually defensible?

  • Hiring an attorney feels like the "right" answer but expensive for a bootstrapped solo project

  • AI-drafted docs tempting, but I have no idea how much I should trust them

For those of you who've shipped a product: what did you actually go with, and would you do it differently now? Trying to figure out if I'm overthinking this or under-covering myself.
