Totally agree with this. Tools speed things up, but they don’t replace the thinking. Most of the good signals I’ve seen come from actually looking at how companies talk about their product, recent launches, hiring patterns, things like that. Once you notice the pattern, then tools like Clay or Apollo help scale it. Manual research feels slower, but it’s usually where the real insight comes from.
