Remember last year when a petition went viral calling on Instagram to walk back its more TikTok style changes and prioritize friend's posts? It got over 300k signatures, and Instagram walked back many of its updates. It looked as if people were tired of the algorithm fuelled way of doing social media.

Organized memories: Each day of the week has its own dedicated box, neatly capturing your moments in a beautifully organized manner. Tap on a week, and Retro will bring up photos you took from that week for you to add to your journal.

No more lurking: To view your friends' photos, you've got to contribute your own. No more lurking in the shadows. It's a space where everyone actively shares their unique moments.

Levels to friendship: There are levels to this game, as they would say. You can share your photos with anyone you consider a friend, but you also get what’s called ‘keys.’ These are for those really special folks in your life, keys allow those loved ones to scroll further back in your life than others would.
