GOOD MEWS

Well, hello there. Below, we’re talking about cool stuff that came out of Adobe MAX 2023, but here’s what else is open in our tabs this morning.

Product highlight

Adobe’s new AI models and Project Stardust

Adobe may have been slow to the table on generative AI (like most big tech companies), but it's here now. And we love that for Adobe since the EU is still probing into the company’s Figma acquisition.

Let’s talk about what’s new.

Adobe introduced its generative AI model called Adobe Firefly earlier this year and at MAX, the company introduced updates along with two new models.

Perhaps the biggest update on Firefly Image 2 model is a feature called Generative Match. Let's say you upload a picture of sponge cake because you think it kind of looks like the moon’s surface. Firefly Image 2 will take the style from your reference and apply it to your new moon image in Firefly. You can use a slider to decide how sponge-cakey you want it to be.

Adobe’s new Firefly Vector model for Illustrator is the “world’s first generative AI model for vector graphics.” It lets users create vector images with text prompts, logically grouping elements and layers. Adobe’s Firefly Design model generates templates with text prompts, similar to Canva’s Magic Studio.

Adobe also teased us with an impressive demo of Project Stardust (as one commenter wrote: “shut up and take my money”), in which we see a user deleting objects and changing scenes with a couple of clicks.

Separate but related: Adobe Express users may want to check out CI HUB’s launch of Adobe Express Connector yesterday, which can help you be more productive. It connects to tons of digital asset management systems and apps so you can just drag and drop in your content.

Let us know what you’re most excited about in the launch comments!
