The Leaderboard: Thursday
This newsletter was brought to you byTempoThe best serverless GPUs
Modal is the best serverless GPU platform. I know because I founded Banana.dev, a popular competitor. (Yes, writing this was quite the exercise on the ego). What I love about Modal is that it makes me *think differently* about how to write code. I don’t need a microservice, I just write a function. I don’t need S3, I just add a volume. I don’t need to deploy to show my coworkers my app, as I was developing in the cloud the whole time. Modal is what programming and deploying should’ve been from the start — with the added perk of GPUs.

Tempo Software gives you complete visibility across projects, programs, and portfolios — all inside Jira. Connect daily work to strategic goals, turn fragmented data into clear insights, and make faster, smarter planning decisions.
Start with what you need and scale as your teams grow. Standardize reporting, improve oversight, and maintain governance without slowing anyone down.
Track less. Deliver more impact.
Slack overflow
Zivy (#1 on yesterday’s leaderboard) is an AI-powered work app organizational tool that plugs into Slack and categorizes messages based on perceived importance and urgency. The idea is great, but with Slack’s own AI recap feature already out, Zivy faces stiff competition. Without broader integrations or standout features, I’d imagine it will struggle to compete in a cutthroat productivity tools market.
Stop counting timezones
There (#5 on yesterday’s leaderboard) is a MacOS menubar extension that displays the local time of friends and teammates worldwide. The founders first launched the extension six years ago, but the new version is native and open-source. I work with people in 5-7 different timezones on a daily basis and still have no idea what UTC offset I’m in, so this is the best news I’ve heard since I found out that Hawk Tuah girl was starting a podcast.
