AI-assisted gains

This newsletter was brought to you byCoChat

Happy Friday! In today's digest, we're talking about an AI-native social media app, a new Zoom alternative built for devs, and an app that helps you hit those all important workout goals. P.S. Make sure to RSVP to our AI hackathon this weekend if you want the chance to win $20,000 in prizes.

Can AI cut it?

Highperformr: AI-native social media collaboration tool for small teams.

Highperformr for Teams is a social media management tool that uses an AI copilot to draft, schedule and publish posts. It’s a neat idea, and I can see it helping small, time-strapped teams build an initial presence on LinkedIn and X. But in an era of founder-led comms, I’m not sure GPT-ese will cut it as a sustainable branding strategy. Fortunately, Highperformr also comes with analytics and insight tools that might provide standout value in their own right.

A better Zoom for devs

Feta: A video-calling tool built for product and engineering teams.

I played around with Feta briefly yesterday. It seems like a nice assistant for automating meeting notes + glueing together PED tools. At PH, we use Tandem and Asana, so we would have to move off those to really take advantage of Feta. Zoom/Google Meet + Linear/Jira is a much more common toolset, so it makes sense that Feta integrates with those to start. Essentially, I think Feta is a combination of an AI meeting notetaker (a very crowded space), an integration with PED tools like Github and Linear (this is interesting!), and an all-in-one place (interesting too, especially since Dropbox Dash launched yesterday).

Collaborative gains

Outset: Personalized exercise plans built around your life.

I love fitness related apps. Exercise has always been a big part of my life whether its playing soccor, lifting weights, or rock climbing.. But naturally since joining the workforce, it had to step a bit of backseat so I can focus on my career. What I really liked about Outset is that it automatically syncs to your calendar which if you're like me and you timeblock your entire week, it's pretty powerful for carving out quick workout sessions during days you thought were packed full. You can also invite friends to sync up workout times and provide some motivation in the form of friendly competition. I've seen this idea a few times before and usually it ends as being an oft-forgotten function. It will be interesting to see if Outset can turn it into a USP.
