High Fidelity at Last

Spotify Premium is rolling out lossless audio, streaming tracks in FLAC up to 24-bit. To get the full effect you’ll need wired headphones or a high-bandwidth Connect device, since Bluetooth still caps quality. The feature is live in over 50 markets now and will be global by October.
🔥 Our Take: It only took Spotify eight years of talking and teasing to actually hit lossless streaming. Offering it as part of standard Premium—no “super hi-fi” add-on price tag—is bold. That said, if you’re fanatical enough about audio, “better” might not feel good enough. If the album sounds the same through ‘phones as through your rig, this might finally be the upgrade that hits.
Ship From the Shell

Cosine CLI drops an agentic engineer into your terminal. It can plan changes, edit files, run checks, and even open pull requests straight from your repo. Powered by Cosine’s Genie 2 model, it’s basically everything from the app, now in the shell.
🔥 Our Take: There’s something funny about asking an AI to edit your code and then watching it open a PR like it belongs on the team. The best part is you don’t have to leave the terminal. No browser tabs, no context switching, just type a command and see what happens. The real trick will be learning when to trust it and when to tell it to back off.
One tool. Eight superpowers.

Error tracking, performance monitoring, host metrics, anomaly detection, uptime, dashboards, log management, and check-ins — all in one place. No juggling tools to figure out why your app slowed down at 2am.
AppSignal integrates in minutes with Ruby, Elixir, Node.js, Python, and more. Paste a few lines and you’re live. Get detailed error reports, nanosecond slow query tracing, and background job monitoring so nothing fails silently.
30-day free trial. No credit card. All features included.
Feed Your Curiosity

Oboe is a learning platform that lets anyone spin up personalized courses on any topic. You can follow rabbit holes, create up to 5 courses for free, and get recommendations that adapt to what you actually care about. The idea is simple: instead of scrolling algorithms, you guide your own education.
🔥 Our Take: We spent years feeding algorithms junk food. Now the machine feeds you knowledge, and you get smarter instead of dumber. Calling it “the world’s first generalized learning platform,” feels ambitious in a good way and the angle is real: curiosity on tap, no syllabus required. The bigger question is whether people will binge courses the way they binge shows.
No Job, Now What?

Nika asks: If you were to lose your job right now, what would you do?
She frames it as a thought experiment: what’s your move if the paycheck stops tomorrow? Do you jump into freelancing, consulting, or shipping a quick product? Do you pivot into something totally different? Or do you take a step back and breathe before making the next call? The thread turns into a mix of backup plans, survival tactics, and a little raw honesty about how scary the question really is.
