Cursor just got more hands on
This newsletter was brought to you byVantaFix your UI yourself
gm legends, happy Friday.
Cursor’s new visual editor lets you fix tiny layout annoyances without begging AI to not wreck your file, GPT-5.2 is the latest brain upgrade for shipping, debugging, and thinking through harder stuff, and Music Videos by Mozart turns any track into an AI-generated music video whether the world asked for that or not.
Stop prompting for pixels

Cursor’s visual editor lets you fix your UI directly in the Cursor Browser instead of wrestling with prompts. Click on an element, move it, adjust spacing or text on the page, then sync those changes back to your code without digging through CSS or playing guess-and-refresh.
🔥 Our Take: Everyone has asked AI to fix one tiny layout issue and watched it rewrite half the file. This gives you a way to handle those small, precise tweaks yourself, and save AI for the bigger changes where it actually helps instead of breaking what was already fine.
Supabase’s road to GitHub’s top 100

fmerian opened a thread celebrating Supabase entering GitHub’s top 100 starred repos, sharing numbers from the founder’s post on X: 10,953 forks, 95,435 stars, 1,640 contributors in about five years. Then it turns into a tight playbook for dev tools: build a genuinely strong product, talk to users constantly, publish helpful content, run launch weeks to stack momentum, and keep the community close with regular updates.

Your software needs to be compliant to win deals. But you also need your engineers focused on building your product – NOT pulling SOC 2 evidence.
Enter a third option: make Vanta your first security hire.
Vanta uses AI and automation to get you compliant fast, simplify your audit process, and unblock deals — so you can prove to customers that you take security seriously.
Plus, Vanta scales right along with you, backed by support that's there when you need it, every step of the way.
That's why top startups like Cursor, Linear, and Replit use Vanta to get — and stay— secure.
Don’t SOC-block your best engineer. Set them free and get compliant fast with Vanta.
AI shoots the video

Music Videos by Mozart turns a song and a short text idea into a full AI music video. You pick the track, set the style, let it sync visuals to the audio, then export something ready for socials without touching a traditional timeline or editor.
🔥 Our Take: Nobody was asking for AI generated music videos, but we are getting them anyway. This makes it trivial to put moving pictures on top of any track, which means there are about to be a lot more music videos in the feed. Whether that means more genuinely creative experiments or just more AI slop is something we will only find out once people start hammering on it.
Yet another GPT upgrade

GPT-5.2 is OpenAI’s latest model update, aimed at sharper reasoning, better coding help, and smoother multi-step work across ChatGPT and the API. It drops into the same places you already use GPT, so you can swap it in for chats, prompts, and agents without rebuilding your setup from scratch. The pitch is simple: fewer hallucinated answers, more useful output on the stuff you actually care about.
🔥 Our Take: We are long past the stage where a new GPT version is exciting just for nicer sentences. At this point the only real question is whether it helps you ship faster, debug cleaner, and think through hard problems with less handholding. If this release moves that needle even a little, people will not care what the version number is, they will just quietly flip everything over to it.
