Turn tabs into apps

This newsletter was brought to you byAppSignal

Tabs that finally do something

gm legends, happy Monday.

GenTabs in Disco turns your tab pile into little custom apps you can actually work in, ManyPI turns messy websites into clean, type-safe APIs, and Unloop gives ADHD and neurodivergent brains a visual way to map the loops that keep them stuck.

Turn tab chaos into apps

GenTabs in Disco sits inside Google’s new Labs browser and uses Gemini 3 to look at your open tabs, your goal, and turn that mess into a small, interactive app. Planning a trip, comparing tools, learning a topic or organizing a project becomes a custom interface you can tweak in plain language instead of another 25-tab research spiral. No code, just “here’s what I’m trying to do” and a mini app that pulls it together.

🔥 Our Take: Nobody woke up asking their browser to remix tabs into apps, but of course that is where we are now. The upside is obvious: less copy paste, less getting lost, more doing the actual task. The question is whether this becomes a real new way to work on the web or just a very fancy button you forget about after week two.

FROM THE FORUMS

Humanoids: home hype or factory first?

Nika started a thread after reading about 1X sending up to 10,000 Neo humanoid robots into factories instead of homes, which were the original target. She lays out a bunch of questions: factories have bigger budgets and safer, more controlled environments, while homes are messy, full of kids and pets, and way less forgiving when robots mess up.

She also raises the uncanny angle of human-shaped robots and whether that actually makes people more comfortable or just creeped out. The core question: is all this talk about humanoids in households mostly marketing, or will homes really adapt to robots faster than factories will?

Turn websites into structure

ManyPI lets you turn any website into a clean, type-safe API. You describe the data you want in natural language or as a JSON schema, it handles the extraction and typing, and you get usable JSON you can plug into RAG pipelines, sales workflows, content aggregation, or research without rolling your own scraper each time.

🔥 Our Take: Spinning up a new scraper for every project gets old fast. Being able to point at a page, define the shape once, and get consistent JSON out is a big quality-of-life upgrade for anyone who lives in data. This is for the moments when you know exactly what fields you need and refuse to open a fresh scraping script yet again.

Make your patterns obvious

Unloop is visual pattern mapping for ADHD and neurodivergent minds. It gives you a canvas to lay out triggers, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, then lets AI highlight links you might have missed. From there you can design tiny experiments to see what changes when you tweak one part of the loop. No prescriptions, no generic tips, just your own system made visible.

🔥 Our Take: Trying yet another mental health app can start to feel like a quiet accusation that you are the problem. This takes a different angle: externalize the pattern, look at it like a system, and change one variable at a time. For brains that think in maps and flows, that is a lot more workable than another streak counter or mood log.
