Subtitles for the whole internet

gm legends, happy Monday.

Seagull throws live subtitles on top of whatever is playing on your computer, Wispr Flow for Android lets you reply to basically anything by talking instead of typing, and TypeBoost turns your favorite prompts into a shortcut you can fire from any text box on your Mac.

Subtitles for everything

Seagull puts real time subtitles on top of whatever is playing on your computer. It runs on Mac, Windows, and Linux, grabs audio from any app, and shows an on screen overlay with translated text so you can follow along in your language even when there are no subtitles at all.

🔥 Our Take: I like how small and practical this is. You do not have to hunt for a specific player or plugin, you just keep watching or listening where you already are and let captions handle the language gap. If it stays snappy, it becomes one of those tools you forget is on until you share a screen with someone who does not have it.

FROM THE FORUMS

Personal brand or company first?

Nika opened a thread about where people are putting their early branding energy right now. She has founders coming to her wanting to grow their personal LinkedIn profiles ahead of a fundraise, and another using LinkedIn mainly for leads even though he does not actually like the platform. At the same time, she is seeing bigger companies like Lovable, Replit, and HubSpot lean hard into employee personal brands instead of just pushing the logo.

Her question to everyone else is simple: are you investing more in personal brands as founders or in the company brand, and how are you thinking about the balance for your team.

Talk instead of typing

Wispr Flow for Android is a system wide voice to text app that lives as a little bubble on top of your apps. Tap it, talk like a normal person, and it turns whatever you say into clean, ready to send text while you jump between chats, email, notes, and everything else. It handles filler words, punctuation, quick corrections, and works across multiple languages, with free unlimited use for now.

🔥 Our Take: Not long after picking up the Peoples Champ award in the Orbit Awards for AI dictation, the Wispr Flow team is back with an Android build that basically lets youa reply to everything by talking. If you already use it on desktop, this makes your phone feel like it finally caught up.

Prompts on a hotkey

TypeBoost is a macOS app that turns your favorite AI prompts into reusable actions you can trigger anywhere. Highlight text, hit a shortcut, pick an action, and it rewrites, translates, or cleans things up right inside the app you are using. You can customize prompts, choose models, use voice input, and reuse the same setup across email, docs, posts, and everything else with a text box.

🔥 Our Take: This is basically for people who already have a mental list of go to prompts and are tired of babysitting a chat window. Highlight, fire the shortcut, let your prepped actions do the work, and move on. After a week of that, going back to copy paste into a browser feels strangely ancient.
