Hate filing expense reports?

Todays' newsletter was crafted by us and sponsored by our friends at Ramp.

Travel and Expense spending is down 87% since the start of 2020. But companies are still paying for pricey travel expense software.

Earlier this week, Ramp launched Ramp Reimbursements. It's a free and easy-to-use spend-management software.

Since first launching on Product Hunt in February, Ramp has quietly become the fastest growing spend management platform in America. 🤯

On top of reimbursements, it:

💸 Identifies and cuts wasteful spend ($100k/yr on avg)
♾️ Automates accounting, saving companies 5.4 days/mo
💵 Gives 1.5% Cashback and $175k in partner offers
🤑 Predicts future spend and includes control through Slack
✅ Is run by engineers and former founders

With Ramp you can replace your corporate card or time-consuming expense management tool and put the savings back into your company.

“Most companies in Silicon Valley are quite wasteful with their spending, however, without access to the corporate card, it is difficult to enact change. The Ramp team has the perfect DNA to create the card that smart CFOs use, as opposed to creating a card whose main value proposition is its points and cafe menu.” – Keith Rabois, Founders Fund

Some early reactions from the Product Hunt community:

"Having visibility is very valuable to keep understanding our burn rate and identifying wasteful spend. Ramp is amazing!" - Deepak

"Would you rather get 1% or so of cashback with Amex or 5%+ with Ramp? Easy decision." - Nick

"It’s a big deal for us to be able to fully move off Tallie and consolidate everything. Our month-end close is so much more smooth." - Alex

As a thank you to the Product Hunt community, for the next 72 hours, Ramp is exclusively offering a $500 welcome bonus.

Too late to Bitcoin?

Yesterday, Bitcoin broke above $20,000 taking its gains to date “to more than 180%.” So... is it too late to get into Bitcoin? We turned to our most trusted financial advisors: our Twitter community. Here are their thoughts:

“Nope it’s never too late to get into Bitcoin.” - Prince

“I feel like Bitcoin is too complicated for the average person.” - Heidi

It's a bit dead but [...] there's always a downhill cycle so wait for it to come down.”Maëva

Bitcoin isn’t the only buzz. Cryptocurrency has gained quite a bit of media presence in the past few weeks, with companies like Facebook, PayPal, and American Express expanding their offerings. While Kitty Coin is still in the works (joking...kind of), here are some products that can help you navigate or enhance your cryptocurrency experiments:

Amber - claims to be “bitcoin on autopilot” to provide accessible and intelligent investing.

Wrabbit - real time forecasts and AI-supported analytics for more than 150 crypto markets.

CoinLobster - shows stats from the leading futures markets (liquidations, recent large trades, funding rates and more).

NOBI - a bank-like services to grow crypto, for new and advanced traders.

Argent - crypto's first one tap app to earn and invest.

Avatars aren’t something new, but they definitely made a mark this year. We had Genies open up their 3D avatars to everyday users and earlier this week, Roblox announced it would buy digital avatar startup Loom.ai.

2. Spatial allows you to create life-like avatars in VR/AR. Join virtual rooms from the web or in Oculus Quest, HoloLens, and MagicLeap.

3. LoomieLive lets users create their own branded Loomie (3D avatar) for Zoom calls or other videos (these were the humans acquired by Roblox).

4. AI Avatars is currently in beta but claims to be the world's first photorealistic, emotive and intelligent AI Avatar Studio where users can 'seed' their avatar with intelligence and own the underlying asset through NFTs.

Test out your avatar at your virtual holiday party this year. 👀

No longer a commodity for the ultra-rich, Masterwork wants to democratize art investments by having users invest in history. Although this might not seem like traditional investing, their team just posted a jaw-dropping 32% annualized return to their investors (net of fees).

Let them eat IPOats

This week everyone is talking about IPOs with both DoorDash and Airbnb debuting this week.

As the largest restaurant delivery provider in the U.S. DoorDash has beaten off stiff competition from rivals like UberEats and Postmates, in the battle of the delivery giants.

Airbnb is the other highly anticipated IPO as financial analysts mull over its future in the era of COVID and government regulations. Regardless, Airbnb has always been a source of inspiration for community members, and even has its own dedicated topic.

Tis’ the season of Tech IPOs as C3.ai (enterprise AI) will also debut, with Wish (e-commerce) following next week. We’ve also heard rumblings that Affirm (buy now, pay later) and Roblox (gaming) are also poised to go public, with dates unconfirmed.

What will we be investing in? Cereal. IPOats by Public.com is giving away 500 boxes of very real cereal to celebrate Airbnb going public. They’re inspired by the scrappy story of Airbnb’s early days as a startup; Airbnb sold novelty cereal boxes to pay down their credit card debt (so we’re told).

“They culture-jacked the presidential election that year by selling novelty cereal boxes (Obama O’s and Cap’n McCains) for $40/ea. The boxes flew off the digital shelves and the team was able to turn a $30K in profit in a matter of days.” - Katie Perry, VP Marketing at Public.com

If you want some tech-inspired cereal as part of your balanced breakfast, you can enter to win a limited edition box. 🥣
Reddit meets MTV

If your 2020 Wrapped by Spotify is starting to look a little predictable, Wacht.tv can help you find new music outside of your bubble.

Wacht.tv is a music video discovery platform that encourages users to explore different genres of music on a whim. Giving us serious Reddit vibes, this product provides users with an infinite scroll of music videos to interact with.

“Finding good music videos these days is kinda like playing whack a mole, you randomly start clicking around and if your lucky you find something good. I wanted to reduce the randomness by creating a dedicated space for one of my favorite types of video content.” - Joel Loyol, Maker.

Users can filter by genre, release date, and format, or allow a happy coincidence to happen by landing on a random video. It’s the kind of music rabbit hole we can get behind.

While you're on your musical quest, perhaps you'll consider investing in the AirPod Max - Apple's new over the ear headphones. 👀

For further musical inspiration, check out these recent launches to help spice up your playlists:
