Who won the holidays 🎁📈
Yesterday, millions of fortunate folks opened amazon boxes and downloaded companion apps for their new doodads. If the App Store rankings are a sign of popularity, here are a few of the big winners this holiday season:

Super Mario Run was (finally) knocked off the #1 spot on the AppStore charts. That honors now goes to Fitbit, the winner of this year's holiday season gift unwrapping context.

Everyone's fav AI, Alexa, jumped to #4, while its competitor jumped to #30.

Meanwhile, VR made out of cardboard proved to be quite popular, taking #15 through #24 spots. Google Cardboard is clearly driving downloads.

Also, this simple meme bot is super fun. 😄

Apple’s new gaming platform 👇
A number of things have been said about the new MacBook Pro Touch Bar: "it's amazing!", "it's a gimmick", "there's no space between the 'Touch' and the 'Bar'", etc. Also, a number of truly innovative apps (other than TouchFart) have already launched.

The Touch Bar is, in a way, is Apple's new gaming platform, with games like Nyancat, Pac-Man, and Knight TouchBar 2000. Our favorite (actually super useful) Touch Bar Apps:

🔄 TouchSwitcher: Switch between apps with just the Touch Bar
📸 Screenie: Take timed screenshots from the Touch Bar
💧 Drop: A beautiful color picker, right from the Touch Bar
📧 Spark for Mac: A stunning email app with Touch Bar support
🎹 Piano Touch Bar: Play piano, make music, have fun.

Facebook enters the hottest social space 🔥
The demand for "group FaceTime" is strong, as evidenced by a flood of new social video apps entering the market. Of course, Facebook is paying attention. Yesterday, Messenger launched Group Video Chats, a highly requested feature in this newly competitive space.

Houseparty is red hot around college campuses, more than 1 million people downloaded Fam in less than a month, Sean Parker’s making moves with Airtime, Sequoia’s placing a bet on Tribe, and everyone’s wondering what Evan Spiegel will do following Snapchat’s introduction of Group Messaging. With VR on the horizon, what will be the ultimate form-factor for virtually chilling with friends? 🤔
