1MB.IO - Get paid for the browsing data that trains AI

by
AI companies need browsing data to train better models. You generate that data every day and see none of it. 1MB is a Chrome extension that fixes the deal. Install it once and you earn cashback at 60,000+ stores while choosing what browsing data to contribute to AI research, on your terms. Every contribution is signed with a cryptographic consent proof. Auditable for the buyer, revocable by you. Solana or guest login. No KYC. Your data, your share.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Nandit, founder of 1MB. For years the deal has been simple and unfair. You browse, platforms harvest your data, AI companies pay them, and you get nothing. We built 1MB to flip that. Install the extension and you decide what browsing data goes to AI research, with cryptographic consent proofs that are auditable for buyers and revocable by you. That's the foundation we're launching today. Cashback at 60,000+ stores is the next thing shipping, so the same install that earns you a share of the data economy will also pay you back on what you already spend online. This is our alpha. Mobile app and EVM wallet support are also on the roadmap. Would love feedback from anyone thinking about how value should flow in the AI economy, or who's tired of being the product.

@nanditmehra12 what if adblocker?

@mohsinproduct
Great question 👀

1MB isn’t an ad network, so adblockers don’t break the core experience.

We’re focused on user-consented data sharing, not ads. So even if you use an adblocker, you can still choose what data (if any) you want to share for AI research and earn from it.

For cashback/commerce features (coming next), adblockers might interfere depending on how aggressively they block tracking-but we’re designing around that to keep things seamless.

Short version: adblocker = totally fine for core value 👍

This reminds me of brave and the ad wallet. Cashback at 60,000 stores sounds like a great incentive. Do you have a list of the stores published anywhere yet?

Nandit Mehra

@nemofoo Hey Ryan, appreciate the Brave comparison - there's real overlap in spirit (paying users for what they generate), though we're approaching it from a different angle. Brave monetizes attention through ads. We're building the consent layer for the data that trains AI, with cashback as the retention hook on top.

Honest answer on the store list: cashback isn't live in the alpha today, but points are already active on Amazon, Flipkart, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and Newegg. That's where you can start earning right now.

The 60,000+ store coverage comes from our affiliate infrastructure (Admitad primary, with ChatAds and Coupomated layered in) and rolls out as cashback ships shortly. Full searchable list will live inside the extension at that point.

Happy to ping you when cashback goes live if you want a heads-up.

Please do!

I like your model more. Consent is always good!

Nandit Mehra

Appreciate it, Ryan. Will ping you when cashback ships - drop your email here or DM @nanditmehra12 and you're on the list.

Consent-first is the only version of this that scales long-term. Glad it resonates.
