What changed after translating AI comics into six languages

I’m building AI MANGA, a publishing platform for original AI comics.

The biggest lesson from adding Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese, Spanish, and French surfaces was that translation quality alone is not enough. Readers also need:

• dialogue that preserves character voice

• lettering that stays readable inside panels

• clear series and chapter continuity

• a direct path back to the original work

We now keep each language on a dedicated reading surface, render translated dialogue for the page itself, and let creators retain ownership and download or delete their work.

I’m still early and measuring which languages actually bring readers instead of opening separate social accounts too quickly.

If you’ve localized a visual product, what metric told you the localization was genuinely useful?
