Create AI Avatar With HeyGen & Claude - Build your AI avatar before monetize with Claude and HeyGen

I used Claude and HeyGen to build a realistic AI avatar workflow that can create videos without filming on camera. In Part 1, I show how I set up the avatar, choose the right source image, generate different looks, add a natural script, and test the final talking video. You’ll also see how the same avatar can be reused for UGC-style videos, plus the small details that make the result feel more believable.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 This video is a practical build of a reusable AI avatar workflow with Claude and HeyGen. I started by using Claude to shape the avatar concept and script, then moved into HeyGen to create the character, choose the source image, generate new looks, and bring the avatar to life. The first results looked surprisingly realistic, but a few details made a big difference: • Choosing a source image that works well for avatar generation • Keeping the same face consistent across different looks • Making the avatar’s voice, expressions, and movement feel natural • Writing scripts that sound conversational instead of AI-generated • Testing different scenes for faceless content, UGC, and product videos I refined those parts inside HeyGen and tested the avatar across several styles and use cases. By the end, I had one reusable digital character that could appear in different scenes without filming new footage every time. The workflow also showed where human review still matters. Small issues with facial expressions, body movement, image consistency, or script delivery can quickly make an otherwise polished avatar feel artificial. I’m curious: what would you build with a realistic AI avatar if you didn’t have to be on camera? Comment “AI Avatar” and I’ll send you the prompts and setup used in the video.
