Probably the app I miss the most on Windows. Even the best alternatives don't come close to Alfred.

Alfred is why I can't use another OS other than Mac, as much as Apple tries to sabotage macOS. I love Alfred.

Congratulations on the release of v5! Alfred is such an awesome tool that blends in to my daily use of macOS and feels so naturally that every time I sit in front of my Windows or Linux machine, I feel like I've jumped into a time machine that took me 10 years back. Gonna re-new my lifetime license to support you guys!

One of my favorite MacOS apps. The first thing that I install on new machines.

I've been an Alfred user for years. I can't use a Mac without it. Even though I have a lifetime license, this developer stills earns my respect and continued financial support. With new features and continual improvements, Alfred is utterly incredible. With V5, I've spent a bit of time with the new workflow editor. The addition of native MacOS shortcut support is more useful than I expected. In about 3 minutes, I was able to build a super specific workflow that sent some simple user input to a MacOS shortcut that one of my apps exposed. Sure, I could have coded some AppleScript or some shell code or something to do the same task, but Alfred made this so easy. It was almost zero effort to go from "hey I could save some time if I could just pop open my Alfred dialog and get this chunk of text processed quickly" to a fully functional workflow. Really. I’m not exaggerating here. So, really, this new version maintains all the extensible power (and some new bits thrown in) from previous versions while also bringing in some ideas on how not focus so much about the underlying code for simple reusable functions. Chain them all together and you can do just about anything. I'm also interested to watch how mature the new automation tasks feature becomes.
