Hi Product Hunt,
I'm Horus, the maker behind Banana AI. I built this because every AI image tool I tried required me to learn its own syntax before I could get useful results. Midjourney needed slash commands and carefully structured prompts. DALL-E gave me one shot per request. If the result was close but needed adjustments, I had to start a new generation and guess at what to change.
I wanted something that worked more like talking to a designer. You say what you need, look at the result, and keep going until it's right.
That's what Banana AI does. It's a chat-based image generator built on Google's latest Nano Banana models.
What makes it different:
1. Accurate text rendering. Logos, headlines, and multilingual labels come out clean and readable. This was the single biggest pain point I kept running into with other tools, and it's fully solved here. Nano Banana Pro handles English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and more.
2. 4K output. Most AI tools generate at 1024px. Banana AI goes up to 4K, which means the images are sharp enough for printed packaging, large-format posters, and high-resolution hero banners.
3. Four models, one session. Flux Fast handles quick 1-credit generations. Nano Banana produces drafts in 2 to 5 seconds at 5 credits. Nano Banana 2 adds ultra-wide aspect ratios and Image Search at a lower cost. Nano Banana Pro uses a thinking stage to analyze composition and lighting before generating. You switch between them mid-conversation without losing context.
4. Up to 14 aspect ratios. Standard squares, Instagram stories, YouTube thumbnails, ultra-wide 8:1 banners, and everything in between. The exact set depends on which model you choose.
Who's using it:
An Amazon seller listing 200 SKUs can generate all product photos for about $40 in credits, compared to $30 to $50 per shot with a photographer. A YouTuber can test multiple thumbnail variations in 5 minutes rather than spending 2 hours in Photoshop. A social media manager can produce on-brand visuals across five accounts without waiting on a design team.
Pricing:
Free tier gives you 10 credits to try it out with no credit card required. Pro starts at $9.90 per month for 500 credits. Pricing is credit-based, so you only pay for what you generate.
I'd love your feedback. What would you want to see in a chat-based image generator? Anything I should add or improve?
