Cool product --- but isn't this space getting crowded? Gonna have to check this out --- also - mobile payments, how will that affect this revenue potential?
Simon Dingle
@samir_doshi We're excited about the various forms of mobile payment currently taking shape, but we think the humble card will still be around for a while. Nothing's faster than a contactless card payment - and no batteries required with Curve 😉

OMG. looks amazing! do you have any referral codes for product hunters?
Simon Dingle
@techtom10 we've added one due to popular demand. Use MvcuZ and get £10 to spend on your Curve card when it arrives :)

Amazing product incoming ! Can't wait for the the release... with an Android app :)

Love what Curve are doing, so excited to get my card. I carry a wallet with ONLY cards in it, about 6 of them, can't wait to shed the weight and size to just have one.
Simon Dingle
@nicholaskatz Thanks Nick! Would love to hear your thoughts on Curve, and how we could integrate with other great fintech products.

OK. I so want this! Two questions though. First: Any plans to expand to the US and add US Banks? Second: Android support?
Simon Dingle
@senthos yup, we definitely plan to expand to the US, but I can't provide exact dates at this stage. We're working hard to hit Android as soon as possible but right now our app is iOS only.
Mikael Forsgren
When might I get one in Sweden?
Simon Dingle
@mikaelf We'll be opening up to EEA residents soon, but I unfortunately can't provide an exact date at this stage ;)
Mikael Forsgren
@simondingle Awesome. You might wanna double check the wording here in the iOS app: https://goo.gl/photos/Vb9vJ9Xz6T... "(and and use them for anything else)".
Simon Dingle
@mikaelf Thanks Mikael ;)

Looks like Discover isn't currently supported. Do you guys intend to add them as well? Are there any additional fees beyond the original purchase of the card? For debit related stuff, I assume the free ATM listed on your site doesn't automatically make this free for all ATMs as normal ATM fees would still apply and does this allow for cash back transaction at point of purchases the way a normal debit does? Since this is base in the UK, does it have any limitations in the US market (doesn't appear to be available in the US yet; just tried to order a Curve Black). When are you guys planning for a US launch?
Simon Dingle
@enonevets Any standard Visa, MasterCard or American Express cards should work with Curve, with the exception of some prepaid cards. We do not charge additional fees for Curve, and our foreign currency exchange rate is the MasterCard wholesale rate + 1% - which we think is pretty good :) Normal ATM fees (charged by the ATM operator) are beyond our control, but we do not charge our own fees for ATM withdrawals. We unfortunately aren't available in the US yet, but we are planning to be there soon. I wish I had an exact date for you, but that's impossible to provide at the moment.
Thomas K. Running
@simondingle Regarding ATM fees, if I connect e.g. my Schwab card I guess they won't see the transaction as an ATM withdrawal, and hence won't refund the ATM fee as they normally would?
Simon Dingle
@tkrunning All Curve transactions appear as online purchases would to your card providers, including ATM withdrawals. Curve does not charge ATM fees, but obviously some ATM operators do. So there are no ATM fees to refund if you use free ATMs ;)

Any plans to bring this to India? The opportunity is BIG and I can be a beta tester! :)
Simon Dingle
@inditravlr yes, we plan to be everywhere eventually ;) For now we are launching in the UK and will soon open up to the European Economic Area.
Viktor Nazarenko
Are there any plans to start in Ukraine?
Simon Dingle
@viktor_naz Yup. For now we are launching in the UK and will soon open up to the European Economic Area, but we hope to be everywhere eventually ;)
