AI summaries of ANY book — no file required, just title and author. Decide if a book is worth your time. Get key ideas before reading. Refresh memory of books you've read.
We're Kirill and Yaroslav, the team behind Bookov.
The problem: Blinkist has ~5,000 pre-written summaries. Great for bestsellers. But what about that niche technical book? That classic Russian novel? That obscure recommendation from a friend? You're stuck.
Our solution: ANY book, YOUR choice of AI
Add any book — search our catalog or enter title and author manually. Our AI agent researches everything available online and generates a comprehensive summary. The more complete the metadata, the more accurate the result.
3 ways readers use it: 1. Before buying: Is this book worth my time? 2. Before reading: Get key ideas to read more actively 3. After reading: Refresh memory and retain more
Why multiple AI models? Each model has its personality: - Claude catches literary subtext and nuance - GPT excels at business & technical content - Gemini is fast and budget-friendly - Grok offers unique perspectives on controversial topics
17 models total. Why lock you into one?
Genre-aware summaries: We built 20 genre specializations. Sci-Fi summaries can include world-building and technology details. Mystery summaries can hide spoilers while explaining the crime setup. Non-fiction gets actionable takeaways.
Honest pricing: - The reading app is completely free - Only AI summaries cost credits - 10 FREE credits on signup - Budget models: 1 credit per summary (~$0.10) - Premium models: up to 12 credits - Packs from $0.99 (10 credits) to $29.99 (1000 credits)
No subscriptions. Pay only when you need more.

@kirillgreen thank you! The genre selection definitely helps! I was just asking because I'm playing around context engineering and I think that if you could connect your users email and extract preferences, past book purchases... you could give personalized recommendations with a bit of a "wow" effect, but yeah again big congrats on shipping this. happy to share contact if you want to discuss more about user personalization
