SKI - Voice-first coding harness
SKI - Voice-first coding harness is live on Product Hunt
Thank you, community members for making us #1 in the PH launch in July 2026.
Our new version is currently live on product hunt. Please take a look and support us with your upvotes, comments and please also try out the product.
Launching SKI - Voice-first coding harness with realtime multilingual voice
Thanks a lot for supporting us and for your feedback with SKI.
We have taken in your feedback and requests. We have transformed SKI into a voice-first coding harness, with enhancements to support multi modal inputs in realtime
Supports 85+ languages: You could speak to your coding agents in languages that you are comfortable in, and the agent will talk to you in the same language as well.
Prompt processing: It runs your audio and brings in your thoughts as a proper prompt, refined for most agents (with optional approval)
All agents in one UI: Brings in all agents into a single UI, with most commonly used tools for coding. Switch sessions and agents by voice.
Chained agents: With a single voice command, you can give the agent a chained task. For example, ask Opus 5.5 to plan, and then to hand it over to GPT Luna to code and then to Fable for review, in just a simple voice command
Intelligent router: With "One chat for all" turned on, you can just talk to a single agent and it will intelligently route to sessions (with optional approval)
Expressive voice: A more human-like, low latency voice for each sessions with 28+ voices

We'd love your honest feedback on SKI 🙏
Hey everyone,
First of all, a huge thank you to this amazing community. Your support, curiosity, and willingness to try new things mean the world to us, and we're genuinely grateful to have you along on this journey.
Adding Multi-lingual and audio device selection support
We re working on making Ski more comfortable to use for people who don t speak English all the time.
The latest update adds more control over both voice input and voice output, with platform-specific improvements:
macOS: More languages available for voice input in High and Ultra modes
Windows, Linux: Ultra (default) mode can automatically detect the language being spoken
Voice output: We re expanding the number of supported languages, and currently supports few languages in Kokoro. Each language has its own voice list.
Audio devices: You can now choose your input microphone and output speaker/headphones directly
Easy updates: Get the latest version through automatic updates or download it directly at heyski.io
We re still expanding the language list, especially for voice output.
Thank you, Product Hunt. Let's keep building together.

On July 30, we launched SKI (Voice coding for your agents) on Product Hunt, and by the end of the day it became the #1 Product of the Day. It was a moment we had dreamed about for months, and seeing all the hard work finally pay off is something we'll never forget. To everyone who upvoted, left a comment, reported a bug, shared feedback, or simply gave SKI a try, thank you. Every bit of support meant more than you know.
The launch introduced SKI to thousands of people, brought invaluable feedback, improved our visibility across search engines and AI search, and opened doors to opportunities we wouldn't have had otherwise. Beyond the numbers, it reminded us that great products aren't built in isolation. They're shaped by the people who use them.
As we continue building at Pattern AI Labs, we want this community to grow alongside us. That's why we've started a Discord community where we'll share early previews, product updates, behind-the-scenes progress, and new launches. More than that, it's a place for founders, developers, and anyone curious about the future of AI to connect, collaborate, share what they're building, learn from one another, and help shape what we build next.
SKI for Linux is here
We just launched the Linux version of SKI! You can grab it now at heyski.io.
We built this because a bunch of you asked for it, and we're excited to finally get it into your hands. It's still early days for this release, so expect some rough edges.
We'd love your feedback - good, bad, or ugly. Drop it in our Discord https://discord.gg/5ZM9yrkKKQ or right here in the comments. Every bit helps us make SKI better.
We also have a blog and tutorial section on our site to help you make the best use of SKI!
Thanks for checking it out, and happy skiing!
Makers of SKI here — ask us anything before we launch
Hey We're the team behind SKI, launching on Product Hunt this Thursday and we wanted a place to actually talk with you before then, not just pitch.
Quick what-it-is: SKI is voice coding for Claude Code, Codex and more. You talk, your agent builds, and it answers you out loud like a real person, not a text box. It's not dictation; it closes the loop. Everything runs on your machine (local speech in, local voice out), it's free for life, and it can even join your meetings.
We'd genuinely rather field your hard questions than sell you. Things people usually ask:
How does it stay fully local what actually runs on-device?
Simple steps to start Voice Coding with SKI
Thanks a lot for supporting and for being in the SKI community. This is a guide to get started, just in case you are stuck somewhere.
This guide covers how to get started with voice coding. This guide can be used to connect projects which you already are working on, to SKI.
Download SKI (if you haven't already)
Currently available on Mac (M series) and Windows. Will be launching soon on Linux.Start SKI
You will be shown an on-boarding process. For transcription, use "Ultra" for best English transcription accuracy and speed. Use "High" for multi-lingual support.
Ensure that you install the skills for your agent in the process. The skill installation is mandatory for the agent to work.Once the skill is installed, start the SKI application. It will show up in the notch or as a floating widget (depending on your preference).
Now, the next step is to connect your project to SKI. Go to your coding session (where you type the instructions to give inputs to the LLM coding agent - such as the prompt area inside Claude code or codex) and just type "SKI".
The agent will read the skill files (which we have already installed while on-boarding) and learn how to connect to SKI. It will run a python script and connect to SKI. Once this happens, and the connection is established, the project name and a green dot will come up on the SKI widget or notch. The green colour represents that the project is connected and live.
You can now talk to SKI. Whatever you talk will be read by the agent, the same way as you typed. It knows that the words are being transcribed from speech.
-
To mute, you can either press "Fn" key in Mac OS, or space key if the widget is selected or use hotkeys. You can also use the mute button, or click waveform to mute and unmute.
You can connect multiple projects, and projects from different agents in the same way, at the same time. You can switch between projects using hotkeys or using mouse by clicking and selecting the project.
Note that the agent will not be reading out all the output it generates. The agent knows that SKI is a way to talk to you. So, it will decide and tell SKI on what to update to user using audio. You can just ask the agent (by voice on SKI) on what updates it should speak out and the agent will adapt accordingly.
