BrainLoom v1.0.3: DeepSeek/Claude Support, Command Palette & Focus Timers
Hey Product Hunt!
Ujjwal here. It’s been a little over a month since BrainLoom (The Local-First Learning OS) hit #2 Product of the Day. I haven't slept much since!
The feedback from this community has been the driving force behind the roadmap. You asked for more speed, more AI freedom, and less friction.
Today, I'm dropping v1.0.3: The "Command & Control" Update.
Here is what’s new:
OpenRouter Integration: This was heavily requested. You are no longer locked to one AI. Plug in your OpenRouter key and use DeepSeek, Claude 3.5, or Kimi to generate flashcards and mind maps right inside the app. (Massive for users in regions with API blocks!).
The Command Palette (Ctrl/Cmd + K): Navigate your entire project, create notes, and import PDFs without ever touching your mouse. Pure flow state.
Focus Timer: A built-in focus timer (Pomodoro style) right in your dashboard. Lock into deep study sessions without getting distracted by opening a browser tab.
The Hall of Fame: I hard-coded the names of the first 50 "Founder's Club" buyers directly into the app's About page. Software changes, but early believers are forever.
Advanced Canvas Shapes: Take your visual thinking to the next level. You can now change node shapes to Diamond, Circle, Triangle, Hexagon, or standard Rectangle to build better visual hierarchies.
We are officially into the "Architects" batch (Lifetime License is currently $34).
I'd love for you to test the new Command Palette and tell me if it speeds up your workflow!

Let me know what model you plan to hook up via OpenRouter!
