Brave Search - Brave Search’s AI-powered answer engine

Great search engine (via the browser)! One question: I installed the Brave app, but I can't search Brave via the app. It searches Google by default. Do I have to import my Google browsing data for the app to search using Brave? Or what is the point of the app vs the browser: https://search.brave.com? I loved the personalised settings in the app for a start. The Google news app serves up all the mainstream clickbaity news that is of no interest to me, so it's great to be able to set preferred publishers.

Hi Brave team! I'm interested to know how you see publishing heading, given AI-powered search is leveraging content IP from publishers, so many publishers are blocking it? How is the industry considering this challenge & tackling it? I noticed in your video, you mention (at 31secs) it's fully cited but I don't see any sources in the top AI result for keywords relating to our content. Brave Browser, Brave Beta, Brave Nightly; I've used them all. Other than the limited regional access to BAT due to local governments regulation, these are my favourite browsers with the upcoming "Profile" feature, things gonna be even greater. Import/export profile is pretty easy without even the need to register for an account via Brave Sync of just good 'ol copy paste the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware. E.g. /Brave-Browser-Nightly -> /BraveBrowser Voila, all done.
