As a Buildpad user, I am proud to have witnessed its growth since Reddit age. Keep up the good work!

David Heikka

@thefullstack Thank you Alex!

I have been using Buildpad for over 2 months to work on a personal project and it has been the perfect addition for my journey.

I was struggling to keep the momentum and before was on and off on it.

Buildpad helped me to structure my approach and not cut corner by validating each step before moving on. Thanks to that I was more consistent in my progress and therefore more motivated to continue.

Starting new project can be difficult as we can seek help for certain task but it is always good to be able to bounce idea or solution with someone.

Yes AI will not replace "yet" a proper brainstorm between people but Buildpad really help you to leave the blank page you can sometimes be stuck on. It provides guidance, advice and really helps you build faster with more confidence.

There is so much potential with this app, I am very excited what David and Felix will do next!

@nicolas_meriot Thank you for your kind words, Nicolas! We really appreciate it.

This looks super helpful, especially for solo founders like me who sometimes get stuck figuring out what to build next. Love the step-by-step approach!

Often an AI has a tendency to just agree with you all the time, have you done anything to try and work around this?

Felix Heikka

@michael_jupp That's an important point, and something we're very conscious of as we develop Buildpad. There are steps in the Buildpad process where our AI searches through and analyzes discussions online. Here we have prompted the AI to be critical and objective with the data gathered. We also provide sources so users can independently verify the information.

In the fourth phase called "Verify demand", the user will also get help reaching out to real people to verify that demand exists for their specific solution, which helps as a "fail-safe" if the AI has been too positive.

Great idea! Congratulations on the launch. Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before!

I usually do the similar dialog with chatgpt or gemini, so what's the big difference between this tool and gpt 4o?

Camille yang

looking forward to your reply, great ideas

Felix Heikka

@camille_yang1 ChatGPT and other LLMs are general AIs that can answer your questions. They require the founders to guide themselves through the process of building products. This means they always have to know what to ask and what the next steps are. Buildpad on the other hand is specifically made for building products that people actually want. Buildpad guides you through 7 phases starting with identifying a real problem to solve, then taking you through defining a product, validating it, and building it.

Most of our users have tried building with ChatGPT and other LLMs before, and they usually emphasize how Buildpad actually guides them, gives them structure, and helps them through validation in a way they haven't experienced before.

You will also find valuable tools within each phase such as market research, user persona generation, a research page for verifying demand, etc.

I hope that answers it.

Curious how Buildpad adapts across industries—does the AI tweak its guidance for, say, a fintech founder vs. a healthtech one? One-size-fits-all rarely works in product dev.

David Heikka

@shreyans_assistiv Good question! Our AI has a memory and learns about your project so the advice is always as personal as can be. We've also set up the phases with this in mind so 99% of products will fit (e.g. validating your idea is something everyone should do, no matter the industry).
