Charlie - Meet your new, personal journalist

I've been testing several news curation services lately and OneSub seems the one of the best of the new services that I've found. I think Charlie would be a useful addition for people who are intimidated by news. Or something :) I have been using mainly Twitter and Reddit to curate news feeds, and am paying subscriptions to several news media houses directly. To curate content also from sources that I'm not already familiar with has been a bit tough though. So I've been trying to find an app to do some of the work for me. I'll take this to test and decide whether I'll pay for the Pro plan of OneSub.

Congrats Jim, it's a great promise. I love the ideas of good news/ bad news. Bad news are useful but there's a bias on bad news these days and sometimes that leads us to get less informed. We need also postive news to have a better, more balanced, understanding on the world. Il also like the UX, very sweet design.

Fascinating concept, and can't wait to test it more thoroughly! Also, the design of Charlie is so cute! I love the colors and UI!!

This looks interesting. I know it is very new and I'm testing on Android. What the best way to submit feedback on the UI? Charlie says the engineers are monitoring so I put it in the chat but that probably isn't the most efficient :)

Love the idea! It also works for getting the general headlines, but when playing around with some Ukraine news, and asking for Putin's response, it only gave me an introduction to who Putin is. Developing that ability is obviously hard (maybe not with today's language models that keep coming out), and would be a game-changer! So far I can mainly use it just to catch up with main headlines in a compressed way, which is already amazing!

Charlie looks promising! I wonder whether there is some algorithm that can spot fake news and cut it out? Also, does Charlie mark government-affiliated sources somehow?

'News' seems to be based too much around a 'person' in the news (which to my mind is closer to gossip) So, for me, this is a non-starter.
