Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm the maker of ChatNest.

I use AI chat all day, and the good conversations kept vanishing into an endless sidebar, while my best prompts lived in a notes app I copy-pasted from. Most organizers wanted an account first, so I built the opposite: local-first, and Free needs no sign-in.

What it does:

• Save any chat into folders with a title and summary, plus quote cards for key passages

• Live search, and a Ctrl+K command palette

• Prompt templates with variables; type // in the chat box to insert

• Markdown export backups, light/dark theme, 55 UI languages

Full support for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Perplexity and Poe; more sites are experimental. Pro (US$7.99/mo or US$79.99/yr) adds cloud sync and higher limits.

It's early, and I'd truly love your feedback, especially where it misbehaves. Thanks for taking a look!

can I export only the quote cards to markdown, without the full chat?

Not yet publicly — this feature is currently in review and should be available in a few days. Thanks for asking!

Curious — how many AI tabs do you usually keep open at once? And which site gets the messiest for you: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or something else?

If you’ve tried folders / a prompt library for chats before, what worked (or totally didn’t)? Happy to answer questions about ChatNest too 🙌
