Very nice of Cloudways to do this! I've heard the name here and there, but never really had time to look into it until now. What are some of the main differentiators between the Cloudways startup program, and that of others, say the DigitalOcean one? Also, based off a quick scan of the Cloudways site but could not find an answer to - does Cloudways own the DO/Linode etc account that controls the "server"? Also, if a startup is not using PHP as its foundational language for a custom app or is not using something like WordPress or Drupal etc, is there nothing Cloudways does for those that are not using php?
Hello , Thanks for showing support. There are major noticeable differences between Cloudways Startup Program and DO's Hatch. Despite of the common factors like Product credits and priority support the major PODs includes Startup Toolkit, 1 on 1 Mentorship and we accept bootstrap startups as well where most of the online startup programs are for Accelerator or VC backed startups only. Cloudways provides you with DO or Linode server with the additional layer of Cloudways management. the ownership of the server space remains with the IaaS provider. At this time, You can only hose websites which are in PHP. Also if you have the partial node.js project you can host it and use npm as package manager. we are planning more web stacks beside PHP so hopefully, you will get the news in near future.
