by

Packs let you connect your doc to apps you use to design, code, and communicate. So you can make docs as powerful as apps.

These packs are insanely useful!

Pros:

Easy to use and high utility.

Cons:

No mobile app, but the desktop version is incredibly good!

Shishir showed me a demo of Coda awhile ago and mentioned this concept of 'window to the world,' which I'll admit I didn't fully grasp at the time - but now, wow, I can't look at docs any other way except expecting them to have outside data in them like this. It's revolutionary! Shishir and team are amazing, and so is their product!

Congratulations to @shishirmehrotra and the entire Coda team!! Coda Packs deliver on a multi year vision and I'm amazed by the flexibility of the model and the many opportunities it presents. I'm often in meetings or discussions where spreadsheets and documents are being flexed beyond their limits to facilitate process and workflow - and each one of those can be made dramatically better with Coda docs. And now leading to even more productivity enhancements with the ability to integrate into a variety of apps. Excited about the potential and looking forward to more innovation form the Coda team. Great work!

I just began to use it as a YouTube video referencer. When designing games you need references in a doc. I just made a simple table that contains the embedded videos.

Soon, my plan is to make a social media trigger. Just add the services, prepare your text and medias

And just push the button to post.

There are so many things to be done!

Pros:

Simple, terribly powerful, lot's of use cases

Cons:

I want to keep it secret because it's so good!

Coda is such an impressive product that's clearly alive and keeps evolving at an astounding pace. I have always loved the vision from the team, and the idea of building live docs which are as powerful as applications resonates deeply with me. Very excited to try out these integrations and bring them into my workflows!

Seems like an awesome product! But why I need to give access to my Google Drive to signup? No email signup option.

@netcyrax here is a faq on coda.io that answers this question http://help.coda.io/faq/your-dat...

@krunalsheth Thanks. For anyone else reading this: "This does not allow Coda to see any info about your other Google Drive files: only files and folders that you have opened or created with this app."

Reimagining productivity tools with a great vision and a product is awesome.

Pros:

Easy to get started and take advantage of features and capabilities as you go along.

Cons:

I am sure there is something.

Coda has saved me so much time normalizing data, and even organizing my business. It's funny because I was struggling with Excel and Numbers just when I received the invite, so I was able to see how much better it is right when I was going through all the typical painpoints of that type of software.

So many good concepts:

- Columns can have a default value and a column formula, no more dragging your formula accross cells ;

- Functions are much more powerful and let you write without thinking about cell coordinates. The syntax is very JS-y so it's much easier for a developer to use it, and I suspect it ends up being easier for non-coding people too ;

- Being able to regroup data, hide columns and filter rows so fast is a blessing.

- It's super easy to view your data under a different angle with all the integrated modes: Kanban board, Calendar…

I really like Coda and can't stop talking about it as you can see.

Pros:

- Excel, but made for developers

Cons:

- Still in Beta, so a few bugs here and there

looking forward to the gmail pack! Auto-generate emails of remaining tasks on project plans, and to automate processes utilized in Coda i.e. when X happens, send an email to this person with the rows info.

Personal and enterprise coda user

Pros:

integrations make collaboration easier across common business and development apps, will allow for better sharing of text and data

Cons:

ecosystem is just starting to get built!

Coda keeps getting better. It's already super-powerful and is clearly the next generation of docs / apps

Pros:

This is the first seem-less, business usable set of external integrations I've seen anywhere

Cons:

If you're a maker, mastering its power takes some focus
