CodeX 2.0 is a wildly upgraded cloud code editor designed for instant execution. No installations, no dev-environment config. Write, run, and debug 30+ languages entirely in your browser. We've completely rebuilt our engine with a multi-fallback execution architecture for zero rate limits, wrapped it in a stunning new UI, and integrated a powerful AI sidekick to help you write and convert code on the fly.
Hi Product Hunt, I am Shubham, the maker of CodeX.
It has been over a year since we first launched here. CodeX started as a simple web editor, but as it grew, we ran into serious infrastructure problems. I kept hitting rate limits on public execution APIs, which caused annoying downtime for users.
Instead of a quick fix, I spent the last few months rebuilding the entire system from the ground up. Today I am excited to introduce CodeX 2.0.
Here is what we changed:
- Multi-Service Architecture: We built a custom routing engine. If one compiler API drops or limits us, the system instantly switches to a backup like Glot or OneCompiler. This means zero downtime for code execution.
- Native AI Assistant: We added a sidebar assistant and a code converter that reads your context while you type.
- Clean Design: We did a complete redesign focusing on better typography and a much cleaner interface.
- Mobile Support: You can now comfortably code right from your phone.
CodeX is still focused on removing all backend setup so you can just open a tab and start building.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the new design and compilation speed. I will be in the comments all day to answer any questions.
