Which email do you keep digging for again and again? ๐Ÿ”

Quick question for everyone here: which email do you find yourself searching for over and over? For a lot of people it's an attachment someone sent weeks ago, a 2FA code that just landed, or a bill that has to be paid before Friday.

Faraday has a separate Attachments page for the first one. You can filter it by file type, so you only see PDFs, or by size, like files over 2 MB, and you can forward an attachment without downloading it first. 2FA codes show up right in Notifications with a one-click copy, and bills appear with their due dates on the row.

Tell me yours in the comments! I'd really like to know what the rest of you keep hunting for. And if you haven't tried it yet, the iPhone beta is still open at https://faraday.email/download/ios :)

The Faraday iPhone beta is here, come try it ๐Ÿ“ฑโœจ

The TestFlight link I promised is finally here! You can join Faraday's iOS beta right now with this link: https://faraday.email/download/ios

If you haven't used TestFlight before, it's Apple's own app for testing beta apps. Install TestFlight from the App Store first, then open the link on your iPhone and tap to install Faraday. It's the same Faraday, with the same intelligence and the same security, and it just reaches you before the regular App Store version, which should follow in a few days once Apple's review is done. The Android app is still on its way.

Faraday is almost on your iPhone, and the beta link is coming ๐Ÿ“ฑ

Faraday's iOS app is almost ready for you to try. In the next day or two, I'll share a TestFlight link right here. TestFlight is Apple's own beta app store, and the app you get through it is the same app, with the same intelligence and the same security.

Moving Faraday from the web onto a phone took a lot of work, because the device and its screen have real limits, and the app still has to feel built for the phone. If you'd rather wait for the regular App Store version, it should follow a few days after that, once Apple's review is done. The Android app is on its way too!

Follow this forum if you'd like to catch the link when it goes up. If you've installed a beta through TestFlight before, did you keep using it, or did you wait for the App Store version?

Two lines every day that tell you what came in โ˜€๏ธ

There's one part of Faraday I haven't written about here yet, and it's called Daily Glance. Every day, Faraday writes a couple of lines summarizing what arrived in your important sections, so you can read what's new before you scroll through a single list.

Daily Glance also points out emails you sent that never got a reply. If you wrote to a client or an investor last week and they went quiet, that shows up in your Daily Glance, and you don't have to dig through your sent folder to remember who you're waiting on!

Thousands of users across Denmark, Australia, the US, Canada and South Africa already get this on web and Mac, and I'll share the Product Hunt launch right here when the iPhone and Android apps go live. Would you rather start your day with a short summary like this, or go straight into your inbox?

Emails from people get their own section in Faraday ๐Ÿ’ฌ

Most of the email people get every day is newsletters, notifications and updates, and the emails from actual people end up mixed in between them. Faraday keeps those apart.

Every email a person wrote to you goes into Human emails. Newsletters go into their own section, and each row shows the newsletter's genre, so you can see what each one is about before you open it. Notifications and Updates each get their own sections too.

Inside each section, Faraday groups the emails again by type, genre and status. That means when you open Faraday, you can go straight to Human emails and reply to people first, and leave the newsletters for later when you have a few minutes!

Thousands of users across Denmark, Australia, the US, Canada and South Africa already use this on web and Mac, and I'll share the Product Hunt launch right here when both apps go live. When you check email on your phone, which section would you open first?

Bookings and bills, sorted before you even open them! โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿงพ

Here's one of my favourite parts of Faraday, and it's coming to iPhone and Android with the mobile launch.

Every flight, hotel and reservation email goes into the Bookings section, and every receipt, invoice and payment email goes into Bills & Transactions. Right on the email row, you can see what kind of booking it is, or what kind of bill it is and its status, so you know what each one is without tapping into it.

On a phone this is really handy! When you're at the airport or paying for something, you can open Bookings or Bills and find the one you need in a couple of seconds, instead of searching through your whole inbox.

I'll share the Product Hunt launch right here when both apps go live. What's the email you find yourself hunting for most on your phone?

Here's what your inbox looks like in Faraday! ๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ

I wanted to show you exactly what you'll see when you open Faraday, because it's the same on web and Mac today and it's coming to your phone next.

Your mail is split into six sections: Human emails, Updates, Bookings, Bills & Transactions, Newsletters and Notifications. Each email row already shows its key details, like whether a bill is paid or due, what kind of booking it is, or what type of email it is, so you can tell what each one is about without opening it. On a phone screen that saves a lot of tapping!

What we're solving first on the phone! ๐Ÿ“ฌ

Quick update for everyone following along. On desktop, Faraday already understands each email so a LinkedIn ping doesn't sit on top of a client ask or a 2FA code. On the phone that matters even more, because you only have a few seconds between meetings or while you're walking!

So the first thing we're getting right on iOS and Android is putting the key details up front: the ask, the amount, the date, the code. You should get the point without digging through the whole message on a tiny screen.

I'll share the Product Hunt launch right here when both apps go live. If there's one phone-inbox habit you hate most, tell me below that's what shapes what we ship next :)

What Faraday already does on web and Mac, before it lands on your phone! ๐Ÿš€

A quick update for everyone following along. Faraday has quietly grown to thousands of people on web and Mac, from Denmark and Australia to the US, Canada and South Africa, and most of them found us because their inbox had stopped making sense.

The part people tell me they didn't expect is that Faraday actually understands each email, so it knows a LinkedIn update from a client email from a 2FA code from a vendor invoice. Because it understands them, it can put the key details right at the top, like the ask, the amount, the date or the code, and you get the point without digging through the message.

It also does something I'm really proud of with long threads. Instead of scrolling through twenty replies, you can see where the conversation landed and what's still open, which is a huge deal when you're reading on a small screen!

That's exactly why mobile matters so much to us. Now all of this is coming to iOS and Android on the same day, and I'll post the launch right here! If you've used Faraday on desktop, tell me the one thing you'd want first on your phone :)

Faraday is coming to iPhone and Android! ๐Ÿ“ฑโœจ

Hey everyone, Neeraj here, founder of Faraday.

We've been desktop and Mac only so far, and the thing people keep asking for is the phone. So we're shipping Faraday for iOS and Android together! I'll share the Product Hunt launch right here when it goes live.

If you'd like the note when it drops, follow this thread. I'd love honest feedback from anyone who lives in email on their phone :)
