Indeed, the frustration of "beginner-friendly" tools still being too complex is real, and if Muse simplifies that experience while offering full-fledged site-building and e-commerce, it could be a game-changer for a lot of people. Great product, sending a lot of win to the team :)

@whatshivamdo Thats the hope!! 🤞 If you have any feedback let us know...

Shopify dev for over 6 years and I feel you haha have been the defacto "build me a site" guy for my friends and family only to see them never use the sites I build for them just because they have no idea what to do and I simply don't have the time to be a full time manager of their site for them, will be sending them over to muse.io from now on haha
Dan Sutera
@alan_rivera Haha, yeah. Hopefully we can rescue you... :)

This is great. You can quickly turn ideas into businesses and even sell them immediately. You have done it. I hope you will become stronger and stronger. ps: I found a small bug when I clicked on the website. The page https://company.muse.io/ourstory showed: An error occurred. Our team has been notified and we are on it.

@cloudkoonly Oof thanks, Will fix asap! On it...

The migration angle is key - SMBs often get stuck with legacy setups due to integration dependencies. Would be interested to hear about your migration path strategy and how you handle common integrations (payment processors, CRM, analytics etc).
Dan Sutera
@david_amrani Hey david, yes thats true. Sometimes switching costs are too much. We built SOME automations to help with this-- like when you build a page with AI you can import over content by providing a link. Analytics we use GA so hopefully that is portable. We use stripe so that is somewhat portable. But for sure we could add more straight up importers as we get demand from a specific place. Hopefully we are lowering the bar for new entrants in addition to just switching people over.

@dansutera Haha, being the go-to tech support never ends! 😆 Muse looks like a solid way to simplify website building. How does it handle SEO and mobile responsiveness compared to Wix and Squarespace?
Dan Sutera
@fufuman13 You know it,lol. SEO & mobile responsiveness are built in, along with other things like accessibility, speed, etc. All the tricky stuff is abstracted away. I would guess Wix & Squarespace also have a lot of this when you first start a new template (templates are always beautiful when you start). The problem is when people start messing around with columns and things on templates they get out of whack and into a "bad state." When that happens, mobile responsiveness likely won't work anymore. The whole thing with Muse is trying to prevent the user from ever getting into trouble...
Fahad Mehfuz
@dansutera That makes a lot of sense! Keeping users from breaking their own designs while still giving them control is a solid approach. Sounds like a much smoother experience compared to traditional site builders.

Congrats on the launch! What a well executed product! Great use of the AI. I always like to get a quick hands on demo of the product and Muse delivered that through the playground. Good work! Transaction fees might be a bit higher for the free plan, but serious creators would consider getting Premium with custom domain so I understand that. I'll definitely keep this product in mind and will tell others about it if they are looking to create a shop online. Cheers!
Dan Sutera
@ash_grover Hey Ash, good point, we prob should have mentioned the playground a little more prominently, it's fun: https://muse.io/playground (We used to have that be the main starter exprience but it hurt conversions a little). Thanks for the support!
