im upvoting for the effort, but i, as a power user of web email, do not see anything new. How is this better than native gmail (web desktop + mobile native) ? Very much of the features are out of the box in gmail, right ?

@francoolaami Thank you for your question :) 1. I understand that the product can only become great if each & every suggestion is listened to, so thank you! 2. DarwinMail has a public roadmap, public changelog, and open lines of communication. 3. The primary focus of Darwin Mail is to help you be productive. Each and every change is made for that sole reason. They're 3 reasons why I believe DarwinMail is worth the try!

I'm not sure why, but I got a promotional spam email from joeytawadrous@gmail.com about this - if you want us to give you access to our emails for your application why would you send spam from a personal email with no info on how you get our emails (for me, it was my personal one)

@gmail @joey_tawadrous Oh I see now, I subscribed to AppLandr 3 years ago which now redirects to Darwin Mail, I'm pretty sure you can't send out a promotional email when it was acquired for a different service

@gmail @harrystrick I hope you unsubscribed as I cannot see any mention of your name in any email I sent! I'm sorry that I bothered you. I switched from Mailchimp to MailerLite a few years back as Mailchimp was so expensive and I guess I made a mess of something during the export/import of my lists. I've been sending regular emails though with good open and click rates, so you must have received a bunch! Why didn't you unsubscribe years ago when I moved mail clients?

@gmail @joey_tawadrous Your emails were in my spam folder (as people have been flagging it as spam, as it is sent from a personal email, not a company email), I saw you on here + an email about this in my spam and wondered why I was receiving it.

Just tested it, I would say this is a beta going in the good direction, but still not ready for real life use. I don't know how to react to this. I would simply say I will be back with my money when it's ready, but then maybe the developer needs the money to complete it. I'll keep an eye on this.

Pros:

Finally something to replace Inbox!

Cons:

The snoozed and done labels are empty, this is a bug. The scroll is scrolling the view out of the viewport. An overall feeling of beta.

Question: does Darwin work well with Gmail's "send as" feature? I.e. I've connected multiple email addresses to my Gmail account and can choose which address to send an email from whenever I write one.
