Day One 2.0 is an easy way to keep a journal, and a powerful way to organize thoughts, ideas, moments, quotes, links, notes, and anything else with text and photos.
I bought it at the start of January this year only for 2.0 to be released now :(

I was a big fan of the original app, so purchased the update more in support of the company than for any particular feature. Having used it for a few days I appreciate the ability to group posts and add multiple entries.
Next is to try and import all of my WordPress and Evernote entries using the available scripts.

Great product @paulmayne. I have been a user since DayOne (no pun intended). Love the update, especially multiple notebooks. Would love to share entire notebooks with a select group of people. Any chance of that coming?
On a side note, we run a thoughtfully curated Slack group for visual startup founders. I think you would make a great addition to this community since journalling is a very interesting space for us. Let me know if you are interested in an invite (message me at mail@imagingmind.com)!
The goal of Imaging Mind is to share knowledge and insights about the visual tech space, physically connect founders-investors and strategic executives at events around forward facing imaging themes. Last but not least, we host community hackathons to turn ideas into prototypes and ignite the visual space.

@paulmayne I've really started to like @dayoneapp. I've one main feature request to make.
Search highlighting: The app's search capability is good but it doesn't highlight the text in the note where it's found. It's particularly tricky to find the search word if the note is pretty long and needs the user to scroll through the note.

I bought the iOS app awhile ago, so I was on the grandfathered Plus plan. I wanted to sync with the Mac app, so I went ahead and bought the 50% discounted premium plan. I like it, but I thought the Mac app would have more formatting options than the iPhone. It doesn't. It's basically a larger version of the iOS app.
It's way too expensive if you're not on the plus plan. It's expensive even with the plus plan. You can't use iCloud for storage either, which I don't understand. Having cloud storage can be expensive for companies, so they increase the prices, but they removed iCloud sync, so now everyone uses their cloud storage.
My favorite feature in Day One 2.0 is the daily prompt. Instead of letting my journal become the 'Rant of the day' entry, Day One attempts to help me create a rich and personal record with their creative prompts.
Pros:
Simple. Beautiful. Minimalistic.
Cons:
NO ANDROID
