55 to 65 inches means about 40% more picture, so we drew the comparison

I built DisplayMath. We have put together a visual guide to the measurements that a diagonal hides.
For a flat 16:9 picture, 55 in is about 121.8 × 68.5 cm and 65 in is about 143.9 × 80.9 cm. That is 39.7% more picture area, before the bezel and stand. From the same 2.5 m seat, the horizontal view changes from about 27.4° to 32.1°.
The guide separates physical fit from the view at your seat. Check the exact product's outside dimensions before buying.
Try the free comparison and change the distance to match your room:
Which part of a screen comparison would you want to see first: wall dimensions or the view from your seat?
