VentureStaking lets anyone lock in future investing rights in ambitious, talented, and prepared entrepreneurs — only committing real capital once traction is proven.
Excited to see a product that’s made its mission to create a more inclusive way of venture. Curious to see how founders and investors alike adopt this model when it comes to funding rounds. What would be the vetting process of onboarding founders and their startups into venture staking arenas? Are you looking for newcomers or seasoned entrepreneurs?
I love the idea of VentureStaking. I am interested to see how you guys are going to attract people to your product. It is obviously not going to be easy to get people away from the current venture capital structure since there has never really been an alternative until now. I think marketing is going to be important, especially early on, so the product has as large and established community as quick as possible.
@jenna_whitlock Short-term: Build and Launch. Long-term: A new system of capital that is universally accessible and winnable.

I love the idea of doriot and how’s it’s revolutionising investing! I do want to know if there are any requirements or guidelines that would be set for companies in order to prevent fraud though.
I love how VentureStaking is positioned as a hybrid between traditional venture capital and crowd investing, giving retail backers a seat at the founders’ table. How do you see Doriot evolving as more non-traditional investors enter the mix? Are there systems in place to maintain investment quality?
@saanvidThat’s the most important factor....the quality of both the Founder and the VentureStaker®. If VentureStakers just expect the Founders to do all the work — then they’re not additive to the process. So, we’ll have systems in place to support those who are truly committed to creating capital on both sides. And we operate under the principles of shared information, shared risk, and shared prosperity.

How do you evaluate which entrepreneurs are ‘prepared enough’ for staking, and what signals or metrics help you predict future breakout success before traction is proven?
@benjamin_lu4 Nobody is prepared to launch a business. When they come to us, we'll check their background and better understand their intentions, and advise them whether or not they're ready and, if not, what to think about. That being said, they are free to take the QAI Exam and apply to enter into any Doriot Licensed Arena of their choosing. And then, ultimately, the Crowd in the Arena decides who becomes a Doriot Fellow.

Looks amazing, can't wait to see how Doriot will change the VC space.
