@zorzini Congrats on your launch day! Wishing you great success and new opportunities. What challenges did you overcome to get here?
@zorzini
Congratulations. I really like the UI and the overall UX.
Is there a recount on how you built the audio library? I am curious of the team and efforts that went behind that!

Earth.fm's commitment to providing high-quality nature soundscapes for relaxation, meditation, and environmental awareness is a beautiful initiative. The launch of the mobile app makes experiencing these soundscapes even more accessible.
Here are some questions for further exploration:
- Can users download soundscapes for offline listening?
- Are there plans to include additional features like soundscape mixing or guided meditations?
- How does Earth.fm ensure the sustainability of their field recording practices and minimize their environmental footprint?
As a developer with experience in mobile apps and environmental causes, I'm interested in how Earth.fm works. Here are some potential areas for collaboration:
- Implementing features for offline listening to improve user experience and accessibility.
- Developing tools for users to contribute their own nature recordings to the platform (with proper quality control).
- Exploring ways to integrate educational elements about the natural world and environmental conservation into the app.
I'd love to learn more about Earth.fm's technical architecture and explore opportunities to contribute to its development and mission.
Additionally, I'm excited to try out the Earth.fm app and experience the calming power of nature's soundscapes.
@aris_nakos Hi Aris, thank you for the kind words!
In terms of the library, we are already working with almost 200 field recordists from around the world, and actively reaching out to more artists every week, while also receiving direct submissions from the community.
Cool! After a busy day of work, I really need the sounds of nature to relieve stress. It's rare to see such a well-crafted app that's not related to AI. I love it! Congrats on the launch!
Is a gem for nature lovers. Its intuitive interface and the quality of the natural soundscapes are impressive, creating an immersive experience that truly helps you disconnect from daily stress.🚀
Congratulations on the launch of the Earth.fm app, @zorzini!
This sounds like a fantastic resource for anyone looking to unwind or enhance their focus with nature sounds. The interactive soundmap feature is especially intriguing—can’t wait to explore different environments from around the globe! It’s amazing to see such a meaningful initiative in the PH community. Upvoted! 🎧
Amazing I always love nature sounds. but I am curious to ask can we use this nature sounds for our use like on our site, in our videos or only listen to it?
@muhammad_salman39 Dear Muhammad, thank you for dropping in! The artists in our community put hundreds of hours of work into this and we are respecting them by not licensing the soundscapes for external use. You can enjoy them only in the Earth.fm app and website. Hope that help
@kyrylosilin Thank you Kyrylo! Great question, this is our nr1 focus: to keep the quality bar extremely high, so we are manually curating and checking each recording and actively working with the 200+ artists in the community to make sure we're all on the same page regarding quality.

I see you’ve got 900+ natural soundscapes now, but I’m kinda wondering, do we really need so many, feels overwhelming and a bit useless to have too many options all at once, should focus be more on quality over quantity, like will we ever get personalized suggestions, hard to keep track of what I like, any ideas on improving that
Sounds amazing. The meticulously curated library of high-quality natural soundscapes, combined with the interactive soundmap, offers a unique way to explore the world’s diverse environments through sound. This isn’t just an app; it’s a movement that encourages mindfulness, relaxation, and a deeper appreciation for our planet. All the best for the launch!
This app is a breath of fresh air, literally! The ability to explore and listen to high-quality nature sounds from around the world is just amazing. Congratulations on the launch, @zorzini! I’m curious, are there any plans to add a social feature where users can share their favorite soundscapes or create a community around it?
@renchu_song Many thanks Richard for the kind words. Indeed, we are actively building a community of people who appreciate nature and soundscapes, and users can share their faves via the website at the moment. The sharing feature from the app is next in line on our roadmap, after the offline listening feature :)
