How long does it take to do customer interviews using Javelin?

@pavel_sidlo Great question. For early exploration interviews, I recommend either face-to-face interviews or phone interviews to see a lot of the tone of voice and body language that you would not get through other methods. The interview itself does not take that long, usually 30-40 minutes. Many treat it as a conversation and people love to chat so sometimes it may take longer but it's fun. Finding customers is where the challenge is and takes a while - from a few hours to a few weeks or even months, to get a few people to interview depending on how much access you have. This is where we help. We connect you to potential customers over the platform, we provide the interview questions template, AND we help you record, transcribe and analyze the interview data after!

A good tool easy to understand and follow instruction

Cons:

Not sure if VPN is a must for access in mainland China

I'm working on my first startup as a solo-founder and using Javelin to help sketch out and conduct customer interviews has been awesome for me. I just finished my second interview today (in person). The UX is really clean and it's allowed me to stuff a lot of different thoughts and ideas into it. Since it forces me to be clear about what I'm doing I've been much more focused than I would have been if I solely relied on what I've picked up from books and videos. I'm also excited about seeing the digital and IRL communities grow with the tool!

Pros:

Holds your hand through the process of coming up with customer hypothesis to finding product market fit.

Cons:

There was an issue with the automated dialing feature a little while ago so I haven't tested it yet.

Pros:

All set up, just try it with a project, real or fake, even for testing or educational is a great tool

Cons:

not anyone by now

I think there is a huge need for this product. VCs and Accelerators have the resources but they can't share at scale. This product allows exactly that. Accelerator level teaching to the people.
