πŸ”” FinderGit 0.34.0 β€” every action tells you how it went

Hey everyone πŸ‘‹

Small release, one idea: you shouldn't have to be watching.

You select 20 tags, hit delete, and the window just… sits there. You push, switch repo to keep working, and the answer arrives in a room you already left. You delete one tag from its row menu and the app says nothing β€” while deleting five of them announces itself. 🀷

0.34.0 closes that gap.

βœ… Every action now reports itself. Fetch, pull, push, commit, stage, checkout, stash, tag actions, worktree actions β€” a card appears in the corner when it finishes, with the repo's name and, when it failed, git's own words. Not "an error occurred". The actual message.

πŸ”” Failures wait for you. Nothing else does. Cards leave on their own after a few seconds, and nothing ever piles up demanding to be dismissed β€” a stack you have to clear gets cleared without being read, which defeats the whole point. What sticks is the bell: a failure arrives unread and stays there until you open the panel. A success doesn't light it. Neither does an action you stopped yourself. So the badge means "something needs you", not "something happened".

πŸ“‹ The panel is the session's record. Newest first, failures still carrying git's message, repeats folded into one row with a counter. Close it and the badge clears only for the rows you actually saw.

πŸ“Š Bulk tag runs show their work. A bar says how many are through and which tag is in flight; each row takes its own outcome as it lands.

πŸ€” And a stopped run says what it doesn't know. A tag already handed to git is reported as exactly that β€” not a success, not a failure. It's the one you may have to check by hand, and calling it either way would be a guess.

One thing is deliberately never reported: the automatic refresh. The app fires that itself, on a timer and on every file change β€” a card for each would just be the app talking to itself. πŸ˜„
