If memory serves me, isn't Flatflie already supporting embedding via modal? My other question is can the CSV import generate new database tables or there have to be existing tables to begin with? Finally what is the pricing? Thanks!

@richardchen31  The DB table generation question is interesting because it touches on something most data import tools ignore. They assume you already have a target schema defined, but in practice the target structure often needs to flex based on what the source data actually contains. Would be great to see more tools handle dynamic schema inference.

Great tool! Just wonder how it simplifies the initial data gathering process? At least for me, gathering the data in a structured manner is what takes most time and effort. Once the file is ready for an upload, the process is usually quite seamless.

@domdomingo Totally understand. The main requirement is building out your data model with Flatfile. That's where you essentially tell the platform how the data you're bringing in should look like, regardless of its initial state/quality. From there, you can import virtually any data so long as it can be mapped and validated against your config. I've managed to import and merge 30+ Excel files using our platform with wildly different levels of cleanliness without having to format data in the original spreadsheets. If you have a specific example of when you've run into this, let me know! I'd love to pass it as feedback to our product team.

@domdomingo  100% agree. The actual gathering and structuring of incoming data is where most of the time goes. Everyone focuses on what happens after the data is clean but nobody talks about the nightmare of getting it into the right shape in the first place. Especially when you're dealing with partners or customers who all send data in their own format. That source-to-target mapping step is the real bottleneck.
