Awesome to see this!
As a small indie game developer I wonder if this will work for people that need less than $50k?
Great job Flippa

Flippa has become a haven for scams, making it a risky place for anyone considering investing in websites. You’d be better off putting your money into assets like crypto or real estate—investments that offer far better appreciation and reliability.
Flippa’s marketplace is filled with troubling trends: websites often cease operations within a year or two of being sold. Buyers are drawn in by inflated or false revenue claims, only to watch their investments plummet soon after. By the time these scams come to light, the damage is done, and the site is often dead in the water.

One example involves a health niche site that was bought for $10,000 and later sold for $16,000. Though it appears profitable, the seller viewed it as a failed venture, citing minimal growth and a disappointing final sale price. This shows how even "profitable" sites on Flippa often fail to deliver genuine value.

Personally, I saw a website purchased for $25,000 a year ago, only to find it now blank or with an expired domain, making it useless for resale. These cases serve as a stark reminder that thorough research and caution are essential when navigating Flippa to avoid falling prey to deceptive practices and significant financial losses.

Personal opinion- Invest wisely; Flippa’s not worth the risk.

Flippa Invest sounds fancy, but let’s not ignore the core problem - 'trust'. Flippa pitching a fundraising platform to connect startups with 80,000 accredited investors, yet Flippa failed to protect basic buyers and sellers on your own marketplace.

Flippa claim to be a “world-leading marketplace,” but how does that title hold up when the platform is flooded with scam listings, questionable sellers, and support staff who either ignore complaints or protect bad actors? And now Flippa want people to trust Flippa with capital raises up to $1M?

Let’s be real, before chasing investor credibility, maybe Flippa first need to fix the credibility you’ve already lost. Flippa must clean up the house before it invites more people in.
