Hi Product Hunt, and a big thanks to @bramk for hunting us! FollowUp is a personal CRM that helps you manage professional relationships. By living in email we adapt to a simple, repeatable workflow that you’re familiar with and enable you to manage contacts as you communicate with them. With FollowUp you can do the following without ever leaving your inbox: - Write multiple notes per contact - Set followups to stay in touch - Create reminders for one-off situations - Schedule calendar events from Gmail - View conversation history where you need it - View upcoming reminders and events We’re offering Product Hunters 3 months of our executive plan free of charge. This includes unlimited usage of everything listed above and all the new features planned for the coming months :) You can check it out at: https://followup.cc/followup-per...

@codyhalff cool! I have been on the watch for a good personal CRM. I will give it a try. I would love to hear the story of how you came up with it. I used Contactually in the past, but it was a bit more than what I needed. However, I did love its bucket system and the automated reminders associated with the buckets. Would that be something in the pipe for FollowUp?

Thanks @ricotrevisan! Really it came from a couple different things - our own experience trying to manage important contacts and the way people were using our first product (this post goes into more detail): https://medium.com/@codyhalff/de... And yes, our idea is to link followups to tags so you can assign them to larger groups (the tag essentially being the bucket).

I've been using this product for 2 months to keep track of people that I want to continue to engage with in my network personally. For people I don't talk to frequently, I set a desired follow-up amount of time (2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, etc) and then I never have to worry about "forgetting" to keep in touch with people.

The app creates events on your Google Calendar and sends an email when you haven't been in touch with someone past the follow-up timeframe you set.

One caveat for me is that it works on Gmail rather than Inbox, and with events and emails more than Tasks.

Pros:

Hands-off relationship management

Cons:

Would love to see deeper integration with Google, other social media insights

@codyhalff are you guys planning on having the plugin work for linkedin? A lot of my conversations with past coworkers happens on linkedin messaging. It would be awesome to set reminders when I should reach out to someone.

FollowUp is a game changer when it comes to keeping both my business and personal relationships active.

Pros:

Easy to use product with a team that listens, could not ask for more!

Cons:

I would like to see FollowUp provide more meta data on my contacts, I think that feature is coming with their "Relationship insights" tool..

I'm biased of course, but have been using PCRM for a few months. Not having to open other tabs for other apps that just want to automate everything I do is an A++ for me.

Been using this product for a month and I like the ease of use.. Never used GMAIL for business before and FOLLOWUP.CC makes it pretty easy to do..

Pros:

The Total Package CRM and Follow UPS ... I love the reminders

Cons:

I personally would like a SAAS based UI .. I feel "CROWDED" in Gmail

Love how this is focused on person-to-person relationships. Traditional CRMs are about organizations and closing deals. This one is about a human being's relationship with another human being. Giving it a good spin and looking forward to reaching out more with key people in my work and life :)
