AI writing tools keep failing experts — is the voice problem actually solvable?

by•

Been thinking about this a lot while building.

Most AI content tools get abandoned by the exact people they're designed for — coaches, consultants, executives. Not because the writing quality is bad. Because it doesn't sound like them. So they don't publish it. Nothing changes.

The failure mode I keep seeing: every session starts from zero. The tool has no memory of how you actually think, what you'd never say, or what your audience needs from you specifically. Three months of "AI-assisted content" produces three months of competent posts that could have been written by anyone.

I've been building a solution to this — a persistent voice model that carries your communication style across every generation session rather than resetting each time. But I'm genuinely curious whether others have found ways around this problem.

For anyone who has tried AI writing tools and abandoned them: what specifically made the output feel wrong? Was it the generic phrasing? The tone? Something harder to name?

And for anyone who has actually made AI content tools work for their personal brand — what changed?
