Bug That Only Appeared in the Hands of New Users

It never happened to anyone who had been using the product for more than a week. Only new users. Only in their first session.

Took me two days to reproduce because I could not unlearn the product. I knew where to click. I knew what the buttons did. I moved through the app like someone who had built it, which I had.

The bug was obvious to anyone who did not know. Invisible to me.

I started testing every change as a new user. Fresh account, no context, no memory of how anything works. It has caught more problems than any test suite.

Can you still use your own product like a beginner? Or have you forgotten what it is like to not know?
