Do you think summer is a good season for launching?

I’ve heard a lot of people say summer is a bad time to launch on Product Hunt.
“Everyone’s on vacation.No one’s on their laptop. Don’t even bother.”
I actually think summer has some underrated advantages. Especially for solopreneurs.
– Less noise (while others rest, you focus)
– Fewer launches overall (which means better chance of ranking higher)
– Easier to get featured
less competition = more visibility for top projects.
Sure, not everyone’s online.
But that might just be the point.

Yes, it is, but still think that more people will be online during off season. I am also on my travels atm, so cannot pay too much attention/time to the internet when I want to observe places :)
@busmark_w_nika Yes. There are still plenty of people online. And at the same time, it's a great opportunity to take advantage of the reduced competition.
Yesterday I didn’t touch any tech all day and totally missed the projects.

I think it's a good idea because not everyone is going on vacation right away and there's a good chance that a lot of people will support you during the launch.

Depends if you have enough runway to worry too much about the seasons. I'd prefer just to release more often in summer and winter!
