Does faster content output actually lead to better engagement?

There’s so much noise right now about how AI lets you pump out 10x more video content in half the time. But honestly most of the fully generated stuff I see feels lifeless and gets scrolled past instantly.
I find these tools great for brainstorming concepts or grabbing quick placeholder visuals but pulling together a real story still takes manual tweaking and human intuition.
For those making content regularly have these speed up tools actually helped your quality or just pushed you to create more noise?

I have a small live test of exactly this. I post two short lyric clips a day on TikTok, rendered automatically from songs made in my app. Last week: 14 clips, about 3,550 views, 61 likes, zero comments. Almost every clip landed between 244 and 336 views, which looks like the platform's fixed first test pool, not anything the clip earned. The likes went almost entirely to two clips: a song about mom's maqluba and one about grandpa still dancing salsa. So speed buys you entries into the test pool, and a specific human story is what anyone reacts to. Volume without the story is just more tickets to the same 300 views.
