Hey everyone!
I am the developer of Lively, an app aiming to help procrastinators take back control of their lives through positive reinforcement, a first for productivity apps. In light of doing so, I was curious to know how some of you get around being productive and how you overcome procrastination.
What has been your experience with procrastination and how did you overcome it?
ahhh my favourite topic! I've tried many things like Pomodorro, batching, setting time limit on granular tasks, just to name a few. Some were actually bad for my mental health because I was starting to feel anxious if I wasn't filling every waking hour with something productive to do.
The thing that has worked for me is having a system with goals. That way, I know the purpose, I know why I am working on something and it keeps me motivated and accountable. If I want to take a day or two off, I can do so as long as I am on track with my goals. I might work a bit harder some days, and some days, I can relax without feeling guilty. The system has been refreshing for a workaholic like me. I've shared the system I used here: The Creator System
