How to keep customer support tickets organized during a product launch
by•
During our first major platform update support emails came in faster than our two-person team could handle. We lost track of bug reports because they were hidden under basic password reset requests.
We created a tag-based routing system and set up automated replies for common account questions within twenty-four hours. Critical technical issues were instantly separated from inquiries cutting our average response time in half.
Organizing the support workflow saved our team from burnout. Kept early users happy, during a stressful transition.
What tools or workflows do you rely on to manage volumes of customer support requests efficiently?

One person here, so the inbox had to sort itself. Three things did it. The support form in the app sends the user id with the ticket, so I never have to ask who someone is, and Share Logs in Settings gives me the device log when the bug hides behind a vague sentence. The ticket lands in a database, not a mailbox, and a bot pings me in Telegram with the ticket id and a code, no text and no email, because the messenger is not in the privacy policy. On the admin page a model drafts the reply in the user's language from a fixed facts file about refunds and credits, I edit it, one click sends, and the sent text stays in the ticket. Replies to that mail go to the mailbox and not back into the ticket, on purpose: most people write once, and the first answer is the one that matters.
