Is it worth launching a UK-only fintech product on Product Hunt?
Hi everyone 👋
We’re preparing to launch a fintech product that’s only available in the UK market; it’s not global (at least not yet). 😃The product is quite localised, both in terms of functionality (e.g. UK open banking, GBP, local tax wrappers) and legal structure.
We know Product Hunt is a global platform with a large US-based audience, so we’re wondering: does it still make sense to launch here?
Our main goals are:
✅ Early user feedback
✅ Visibility in the tech/startup ecosystem
✅ Credibility and social proof for investors and potential hires
We’d love to hear from makers who’ve launched local or region-specific products. Was it worth it? Are there any tips to make the most of it?
Thanks in advance!
Happy to share more details if needed!

@zeyang Region specific products is a good approach. Before launching try to do validate if you have defined the product scope, user flows. Let me know if you need any UX audit of the product.

It’s a good idea to start with a local product and see how it performs at the beginning. But in the future, I believe it’s definitely important to expand to other regions in order to reach a wider audience
