Is there any tools to verify website can be viewed in specified countries?

by•

Dear PH community,

My question may be stupid, but it's very important to me for developing my products. I would like to verify that my website can be viewed by specific users from specified countries such as United States, Canada, Mexico, etc. I tried some web proxy via Google search results. It works but I'm not sure it's really from specified countries, for eg., I checked with United States but YouTube video returns Chinese interface, that means website is accessed from China, not United States.

  • I added IP-based location checking feature to my website [ ], but I found that web proxies (from Google search results) can not display my website with this feature. Even more, I found that most web proxies does not have real server placed at specified places, such as United States, they just simulate IP from specified places, such as United States.

  • I look for virtual desktop service which have real desktop placed at specifed places, such as United States but it's seem to be that there is not kind of that service. I tried but it's blocked by ProBoards, that's mean it does not have real IP from specified places, such as United States.

  • I'm stuck in question: Can users which come from United States access my website? I don't have any reliable solution to check this state.

You could use a tool like Google Analytics or Google Search Console, which can indicate where your website traffic is coming from or which search terms your site is appearing for. It doesn't necessarily indicate where a site isn't visible though.
