Launched last week, #7 with 179 upvotes. Guess the traffic, sign ups, and paying customers so far

Hi all,

I thought it might be useful for some to hear our experience launching on Product Hunt. How we prepared, what happened during launch day, and what results we’re seeing five days in.

A friend and I have spent many weekends and evenings building and polishing a software video guide creation tool @Guideless, and last Friday we’ve finally launched it on Product Hunt.

We didn't spend weeks on preparation for the launch as some do. We scheduled it just ±24 hours in advance, during which we refined our copy, created some custom images, and a quick demo in Japanese (thought it's gonna be fun way to demo Guideless multi-language AI narration).

Within first 10 hours we got 134 upvotes and… countless offers like this:

"I can bring up to 200 Uvs, as we are 10 hours late so results could be vary but 100+ for sure, including 5-10 comments (5 promised). Again, the premium part is you only have to pay me once you see the results). Rates will be $1 for each engagement. will share proof of my work after the job"

Of course, we decided to decline as it feels dirty and I bet that Product Hunt are monitoring these type of fishy activities.

Now, five days after launch, here are the numbers beyond the initial hype:

  • 676 website visits

  • 87 sign ups

  • 4 monthly subscriptions

It’s been great to see genuine engagement, but the results so far are not mind-blowing.

Curious to hear from others who’ve launched recently. Did you see a similar pattern? Any post-launch tips that helped you convert momentum into sustained growth?

I am planning on launching on Product Hunt soon and was wondering how much connecting you did on Product Hunt before you launched?
